Universal Pest Control is an SBDC Success Story
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working with the team at SBDC Daytona to help grow our business.
In case you aren’t familiar with this fantastic service, please allow me to enlighten you and share my experience.
The Florida SBDC at Daytona State College is a federally and state-funded organization that offers no-cost consulting, workshops, networking, and powerful research tools to Daytona area small business owners.
With their expert guidance (and a lot of one-on-one help from my primary consultant, the unstoppable Maggie Incandela!) the UPC team and I have been able to:
- Become more efficient, both with our funds and our time
- Grow our business in a sustainable, responsible manner
- Benefit from the insight and knowledge of other local business leaders through the peer-led Growth Xchange
- Connect and partner with service professionals that share our company values of honesty and integrity, including Bill Payne of Drive Group LLC and Grace Everitt of Grace Marketing Group
Recently, the media team reached out to see if we were willing to be featured as one of their “Success Stories.”
Of course, I said yes! It is the least I could do after all they have done for us.

If you are a Daytona area businessperson, but have not yet availed yourself of this highly valuable service, I encourage you to do so.
